Templates
Six finished files you download and use straight away. Each one comes out of a specific guide on this site — the template is the part you would otherwise assemble yourself. Free, no sign-up, no email.
Before you start
- .xlsx workbooks
- They open in Excel and in Google Sheets (File → Import → Upload). The formulas are live — do not paste values over them, change the inputs instead.
- .csv tables
- UTF-8, comma-separated. Two of them are ready to import into Notion, one is ready for a CRM import.
- Sample data
- Every row is made up. It is there so you can see the format and check the formulas actually calculate — then delete it.
01xlsx
Personal budget
Paste in an anonymised bank export, pick categories from the drop-down — and the monthly overview and cash flow calculate themselves through SUMIFS. Three months of sample data are inside; overwrite them.
Inside
- ·Transactions
- ·Categories
- ·Monthly overview
- ·Cash flow
02xlsx
Weekly menu and shopping list
A week of meals day by day, the ingredients behind them — and a shopping list that assembles itself: identical items are added up, repeats are flagged and whatever you already have drops out.
Inside
- ·Week
- ·Ingredients
- ·Shopping list
03xlsx
Hourly rate calculation
Eight inputs at the top, the calculation and the result below, every row with a comment explaining why it is there. The same method as the calculator on the site — only this one you can save and send to your accountant.
Inside
- ·Inputs
- ·Calculation
- ·Result including a model project
04csv
Business cards into a CRM
The column header you can map extracted business-card data onto, plus one sample row with a made-up company so the format is visible — including how to write the lead source into the note.
Inside
- ·17 columns from first name to record owner
- ·1 sample row
- ·UTF-8, comma-separated
05csv · Notion import
Family calendar and household operations
Clubs, school, health and household agendas in one database — every row has a rhythm, a person responsible and what to bring along. No children's names, exactly as the guide recommends.
Inside
- ·11 columns including rhythm and who takes them
- ·12 made-up rows
- ·Ready to import into Notion
06csv · Notion import
Projects and tasks overview
Projects and tasks in one table, told apart by a record-type column. Status, due date, owner, area — and above all last activity, the column that lets you catch the projects that have gone quiet.
Inside
- ·11 columns covering projects and tasks
- ·12 made-up rows from one company
- ·Ready to import into Notion
How to open a workbook in Google Sheets
- In Google Sheets choose File → Import → Upload and drop in the downloaded .xlsx.
- Pick Replace spreadsheet or Insert new sheets — SUMIFS, COUNTIFS and EDATE all behave the same as in Excel.
- Drop-downs and conditional formatting come across too; if a drop-down goes missing, its source list is on the reference sheet.
How to import a .csv into Notion
- Open the Notion page where the database belongs and pick Import in the sidebar.
- Choose CSV and upload the file. A new database appears and the first column becomes the page title.
- Switch the Due and Last activity columns to Date, and Status and Priority to Select — Notion creates them as plain text on import.
- The Project column is text for now. Once your projects exist as their own rows, switch it to a relation and the values match up by name.
