Edge and Firefox can move your tabs into a column on the side. Twenty tabs with readable titles instead of a row of nameless little teeth.
Ctrl+Shift+D
Have to close your browser right now but you're mid-research with twenty tabs open? One shortcut saves them all as a bookmarks folder.
Ctrl+F5
Broken layout, an old version, a button that doesn't respond — Ctrl+F5 forces the browser to download the page again, from scratch.
Music from your laptop, and when the phone rings, the headphones switch to the call on their own. A feature your headphones probably have — turned off.
Slack has a conversation with just you — a private space for notes, links, and half-written messages, synced between your computer and phone.
One function pulls data from another spreadsheet into yours — and keeps it current. No more manually copying numbers between files.
During a slideshow, type a slide number and press Enter — you're there. No clicking back through twenty slides in front of an audience.
Can't grab an object buried under an image with your mouse? The Selection Pane lists every element on the slide — pick by clicking in the list, not by hunting on the canvas.
Presentation is 80 MB and won't go through email? Built-in image compression shrinks it to a fraction of the size — two clicks, no visible loss.
Ctrl+D
Duplicate an object, move it into place — and the next Ctrl+D copies with the same offset built in. A row of evenly spaced elements in seconds.
Right-click a tab for “Close other tabs” or “Close tabs to the right.” And Ctrl+click selects multiple tabs at once.
Don't upload a corrected PDF as another file. Manage versions swaps it out under the same link — for everyone who has it.
Mention a colleague in a comment and check Assign — a remark turns into a task with an owner, one that can only be resolved once it's done.
Ctrl+Shift+S
Edge and Firefox capture an entire web page from header to footer with a single command. No extensions, no stitching pieces together.
Testing a spreadsheet, a form, or a mailing? Have AI generate fifty fictional rows with names and amounts instead of copying real data.
You know the meaning but not the word? Describe it to AI and get ten candidates with the shades of difference between them. Works for technical terms and cliché-free synonyms too.
In Czech, “Dear Mr. Novák” is wrong — it has to be “Dear Mr. Nováku,” the vocative case. AI adds a properly-declined salutation column to your contact table, for hundreds of names at once.
Before you publish, have AI fix only the typography: smart quotes, dashes instead of hyphens, spacing around numbers and units. It leaves the wording alone.
